Do Ye See Yon High Hills .....
All covered with snow .... as the song goes ....
Today did not bring much of an improvement. The wind got up and blew lots of the dry, powdery snow off the slopes and into the valleys. C, trying to get to the hospital to take some necessities to Mr C, had to take the long way round as the lower road was blocked. The news about him is a bit more positive ... and she's ok. So that's a weight off our minds.
My birthday today, so I've been serenaded by grandchildren, chatted to friends and family and had a lovely day really. Now TM is plying me with champagne, and good odours are floating out of the kitchen ...
We had the briefest of walks this afternoon, at Bemersyde. Chosen because there's a good view and a good track - but there was also a good breeze. The LR got us there and back, so that was a relief. TM wore his Fort George hat, which only comes out in the worst weather, as he thinks it makes him look silly. You can be the judges of that ...
The extra is the Wallace statue that looks out over the Eildons - another of my heroes :-)
