New shoes....

So glad we went out this morning. It was cold but not so much wind as yesterday and everywhere still looks beautiful even as the snow and ice are disappearing.

We heard the clanging of the hammer before we saw this and farrier, horsewoman and horse were happy to be photographed. We weren’t far off a main road but this gave a truly rural feel to the walk. A closer look at the mobile forge in my extras.

Also in extras, the cricket pitch looked quietly in waiting. I like the cricket balls on the gate posts.

Son No1 has a birthday today. Esmée has sent a delightful rendition of Happy Birthday to her Uncle Matthew. We just sent a card and a message. Our singing isn’t as good as Esmée’s. We’ve just had a lovely FaceTime chat with him though.
