Icicles in the park

Very cold but no snow. Impossible to break the ice on our main birdbath but cleared three others OK.  Our Broken Wing Jackdaw continues to survive in good condition.  Photo is from when he was first sighted and stored on Ipernity 12/1/21

I put a few more layers on and got out and about for an hour.

The birds were very busy. I spotted 6 Redwing at the end of the street so that was a good start.  Many Blackbirds and Robins.  2 Grey Wagtail and a Grey Heron with the hundreds of Mallard and Canada Geese in the ponds.

There were a few places with some good icicles but not much with easy access or good angles for photos.  This was about as good as I managed to get.

In other news.

I my Bowel Cancer Test results back very quickly this time. Nothing found :-)
[NHS England offer a test every two years if over 60 and under 75]

Note:  This was a day when I was significantly calmer and less anxious than recently and that was even before these Test results arrived.

I had a letter about my Council Tax refund  (moved house in December) a statement rather than a letter showing a refund is due but nothing about whether they think they have sent the refund or when the refund will be sent.

I watched part of the repeat of 63Up  which was rerun on ITV because of the recent death of Michael Apted  I watched these every 7 year programmes with just Mum and I really interested.  I think they were insightful  but also slightly cruel thinking of 7 year olds being selected not so randomly to be included.  Some sad stories but some good ones too. I can imagine the dilemma of the Adults about whether to continue and of course some opted out or out and in again. Women underrepresented.  I am sure he would have designed it all differently by the time they got to 21UP he must have know the flaws would show..  I still think they were worth producing.  They always gave Mum and I plenty to talk about.
