Hungry Horse (Day 2091)
It seems the fine spell of weather has deserted us and been replaced by a bitterly cold wind. The morning woofer wander was unpleasant.
A little later, I chauffeured my beautiful wife across to Stromness to do the hoss chores. The plan had been to get out for a ride, but with the wind chewing holes in any exposed skin, we decided not to ride. Jeepers seemed impatient for his breakfast and leant his assistance to HV as she mixed up his food. He isn't supposed to be in that part of the shed.
Home for lunch, then a cold woofer wander at Lyde before HV zoomed off for a 24 hour shift. I used up the rest of the afternoon getting new tyres on the back of the truck (disappointingly it is now less fun to drive in the snow as the chunky tyres are making the back end much less twitchy), then along to the yard to do the hoss feeding and watering.
