It has been a beautiful day with hardly a breath of wind and no showers of snow but the temperature in our garden went down to -9.6c overnight and it is -6.2c now.  After being busy all day it was good to get out for a walk being thankful for the lengthening hours of daylight. The setting sun was casting a golden glow on the snow as I hurried home before it got dark... The views in the extra were taken  looking in opposite directions about fifteen minutes before the main photo and half an hour before the sun set.  Two days ago this road was almost impassable to walk along but it had recently been ploughed and I liked the shadows made by the tractor tracks.
