I noticed a sparrow hawk attacking a poor blackbird and watched it for ages while trying to get a zoomed shot through the window.   When a crow approached it protected the carcass by standing over it but unfortunately must have got worried when I tried to get a clearer photo and flew away carrying the remains.  The marks are snow which had started to fall with some visible on the back of the sparrow hawk.
