Florentines
Blip is so inspiring in so many ways, too numerous to mention, but today I’ve been in the kitchen and made curried parsnip soup for lunch (LadyFindhorn makes a lot of soup), Florentines to have with afternoon tea (SandraSuisse shared her lovely recipe with us) mine are a bit rough and ready, but do taste nice! And I’ve actually cleared out that kitchen drawer which appears to be a depository for almost everything (Wildwood got diverted into sorting hers out) ; mine, a small drawer, revealed Greaseproof and parchment paper, Clingfilm and foil, bin liners, rubber bands, jam covers, sticky labels, a meat thermometer, cake tester, an icing smoother, icing bag, 14 knives (pallet, paring, fruit and more), an implement to remove ice from the fridge, electric mixer paddles, skewers, cheese slice, nut crackers, veg scraper, garlic crusher, tin opener, bottle opener, crumbs, unidentified objects and the most important of all , ……. A corkscrew! I’ve downsized a bit but kept one item ……
Extra: #1 Granddaughter in Edinburgh shared a photo with me today. She told me she had been creative with a hairdryer, but I did warn her about burst pipes
