A change of scene on V-day
-11.2C at 8am and not much warmer when we set out for town for our Covid jabs. The car is still buried and we decided it was easier to walk the 3 miles than to dig it out, especially as it was such a beautiful morning.
Hill-walking boots meant it wasn't too bad walking for most of it, though Mr Rat did manage to meet the pavement at one point.
Not much of a wait in the hall and then back home when we had this lovely view across the river. It was harder work coming back, more uphill and then a loop through the snowy golf course, which was almost deserted for a change.
The rest of the day has been bits and bobs and will continue that way.
The extra is the animal tracks on the lawn this morning, fox and roe deer, I think. We've not knowingly had a deer before, I hope they don't make a habit of it, there are enough creatures already who eat my garden!
