Hair Cut

The laurel hedge by the pool needed to be ‘reduced’. It replaced a line of overgrown trees and shrubs that had got out of control a few years ago.  We removed them, planted the laurel and it has now grown well, or, rather, a bit too well.  They were only about 12-18 inches high when they went into the ground.  Its a twice a year job now.  I’m trying to persuade Mrs SoL that a proper pruning ladder (the type with 3 legs and a very wide base) is needed; the platform I use with another ladder leaning against it never feels as stable as I would like.  Extra pic is Mrs SoL inspecting the top and gathering the cuttings.  Waiting to see if it passed the inspection.
