Bella and I have a cherished routine that we never skip...napping.

Today she helped me mix up a batch of bread that we set to rise just before laying down. We always read a few stories before nodding off, Vincent Paints His House, is a current favorite. The Blue Bear from my childhood, seen here with an eye and nose replacement, is one of Bella's sleeping friends.

I awoke before Bella to prepare the bread's second rise and for baking. The extra shows the bread out of the oven. What's not to like about homemade bread? Yes, it is tasty.
