Daughter of the Wind

Anemone means “daughter of the wind” in Greek.  I like the lovely purple color of this delightful flower.

I am enjoying a novel by Kayte Nunn, The Forgotten Letters of Ester Durrant. The key characters are all women, and the main character overcomes a tragedy in her early adulthood and goes on to enjoy an active and fascinating life. 

The Polar Vortex is moving this way and I am wrapped in my just-finished quilt, enjoying its warmth.
