"lost in time"
Time is a funny thing......
....been in one of my reflective moods again lately and looking back, I can't believe how much things have changed in the past year!
I've been thinking a lot lately about how different my life is this year. I have more independence, I have responsibilities, I have an income, I have a student loan to repay rather than receive (!!), I miss my uni days and more to the point, I miss the person that I was this time last year! She's gone - I miss the other me, the happier and more content me that managed to be found!
Aside from all those 'goals' I made for the year at the start of January, maybe I should make it a priority to find that person I was this time last year. I could have been a grumpy, stressed 4th year student knee deep in bird feathers, dissertation hell and exam finals but I wasn't - I was happy and had never genuinely smiled more since I arrived in Dundee 4 years previously as that sad, homesick 1st year which people who know me will remember!
All these thoughts about time has also sparked my desire to continue my studies at some point and my determination not to get 'stuck in a rut' when it comes to my job! The SOCO job is still my ultimate goal, and through time it hopefully will be!
Now to watch 'Child of our Time' - love this programme but feel so old now as I remember the initial programmes almost 10 years ago which charted the kids first few years! How old am I again?! :s
