hut STUFF purses

I had a nice lie in and after breakfast started with giving the skirting and door frame a second coat of gloss, plus a first coat on the door. I will do another coat tomorrow.

I have spent the rest of the day cleaning, tidying and sorting things in the conservatory. I have been frustrated with the mess and how difficult it has been to do anything in there. We have been sewing, but the lack of light and the cold make it difficult. I moved our sewing stuff to the dining room table, which means we can work more easily. I am very pleased with it now. I have set the table so that we can have breakfast in there - as long as we get up and put the heater on first! I will show you it tomorrow. I also threw away some fabric and was quite ruthless, and now all my fabric fits in the ottoman. There is now a pile of things near the door that need to be got rid of. Two old computer boxes, the old music system which works intermittently. I definitely feel I accomplished my goal today.

Then to the sewing. I finished these two hand sanitizer/ mask/ anything you want really purses for an order we received. We also received another order for 6 purses from another friend this week, so that is what I will start on next. It would seem we are taking orders, although we haven’t quite finalised our packaging yet, and the Facebook page isn’t ready. A big boost to our confidence as the two people who have ordered them, did it because they had received one as a gift, and liked them so much they want to give them as presents. £6 each plus p&p. Does that seem reasonable? We received part of the order today, so I have more zips and keyring hoops, plus a big roll of bunting tape. We can now make more bunting with old curtains and other recycled fabric to save it from ending up in landfill. That is my main goal - to recycle, up-cycle and reuse as much as possible to make the business as eco friendly as possible. A work in progress!

Some tv now, and still a whole weekend to look forward to. My knee is aching, but with the elastic elbow bandage on it I can put weight on it, so it definitely isn’t as bad as I had first feared. We have contacted Daniel and will meet him tomorrow in Cromer for a walk and a takeaway coffee.

Now Death in Paradise, so I must finish!
