shutter therapy

While Anniemay was cycling round London this morning, I headed over to the Common for a bit of what Robin Wong  calls 'shutter therapy' - taking my camera for a walk.  Just for the fun of it.

The sky was blue and the weather warm - perfect for reminding myself how my camera actually works.

At one point I spotted a discarded coffee container.  (See extra).  My initial reaction - that might make a blip - was quickly followed by a sense of self-righteous indignation.  And the realisation that it's no good me complaining about it, if I'm simply going to photograph it and move on.

Luckily I had a plastic bag in my camera bag and so I picked it up.  A few yards away was another one along with a discarded face mask.  Nuff said.

I guess I was out for about an hour - shutter therapy is no brisk walk - more a gentle meander with a lot of noticing.
