Negativity!

Today wasn't a regular day!

Last night my throat suddenly got sore, and that was still the case this morning. I also felt headachy and light headed. I was pretty sure it was a cold but Grace said that as we currently have a community Covid testing centre virtually on our street I should make sure.

The centre is open for everyone - you don't need to have symptoms and there's no need to book. I think it is to collect data from the population at large to see how many have the virus asymptomatically. So after a lot of psyching myself up I put on my big girl pants and went and had a test! 

It was not as bad as I expected. It's a slightly different test, and one that I think should be used more often. It is called a lateral flow test and will give you a result in under an hour - mine, I am happy to say came back negative!!

I had already called my Dad and he told me he'd rather not risk me taking my cold germs over there, so I have stayed at home today and done hobby stuff mainly.

I watched the first episode of Des at last. David Tennant is one of my favourite actors and he's excellent as this eerily normal serial killer. 

My photo for today was taken on my phone in the courtyard behind the hall where they are doing the tests. I think the art looks a little faded now, but still good!
