Over the sea to Skye

The ferry is docked at Kyleakin after sailing across from Kyle of Lochalsh..turntable ferry possibly Lochalsh 11 (1957 -70).
The wee Macbraynes Bedford bus runs to Portree the main town on Skye.
In 1995 ferry crossing to Kyleakin became history as the bridge was opened...sadly in my romantic opinion
In summer you can cross the sea to Skye from Glenelg to Kylerhea on the 4 car turntable ferry Glenachulish ....highly recommended famous crossing. Also Calmac run the Mallaig-Armadale car ferry.
