Standing Tall

I liked the way this stood out with the black darkness....it works for MM quite nicely.  It needed a flash of light on it today.

Ellie came over yesterday and spent the night with us but she was ready to go back to see her Grandpa Mike this afternoon..... she has fun with us, but she says, "I miss my family".....she sounds so sad and so sweet when she says it. I am afraid her Mommy is off and about ....making choices that sound irrational and possibly dangerous....I won't go into it, but not good. I'm sure glad Ellie is in a loving and safe environment.

On a more pleasant note, I just heard that my son's best friend & his business partner  won the Oregon Mega Jackpot Lottery about a week ago for about 7 million.......sounds amazing, and it is, but the actually checks after taxes were for 1.2 million each.  He is the nicest guy; it couldn't have happened to a more caring person. It is kind of thrilling know someone who actually won one of those big lottery prizes.

I am finally feeling better, but that second shingles shot knocked me for a loop.....I was glad that when Ellie and I played yesterday she told me, "I am the Mommy and you are the little sister; you have to take a nap. I will read you stories and lay with you."  And when she got up she said, "Now you have to keep resting while I make dinner and clean the house." I said, "okay".  :-)))))   Don't you love it when things work out great!!! Today I was back to being GG and doing the cooking and cleaning.
