At this time of year there are few animals outdoors apart from the increasingly encountered new puppies and their uncertain owners. The horses and stabled and the cows in the barn, which is where I found these ladies dreaming of the promised green pastures of summer, or maybe wondering if the bovine paradise they heard tales of was all a bunch of bull...

So January's gone already! How did that happen? The days are feeling tangibly longer and lighter, even with the promise of snow in the thick clouds overhead. The lure of the motorcycle can not be put off much more, surely.
