Torduff Reservoir
The annual work day off. I had hoped to walk up to Torduff reservoir in the morning, but there was way too much black ice on cleared paths. Instead I wondered around the local park. The snow has melted in the woods, and I notice some green shoots, so I head to the area where I know snowdrops appear. Sure enough, they have just struggled through the snow and have, to a limited extent, started flowering.
In the afternoon, the black ice has gone, so I walk to Torduff Reservoir. The rain is set to start later in the afternoon. However, as I walk through Bonaly, light rain starts. It is a bit of a scramble up Torduff road, it is solid ice. Just as I get there, the heavy rain starts. I manage to get my blip before too many rain drops affect the lens. I should have remembered the.lens hood. Not wanting to get too wet, I opt to head back through Bonaly and get the bus home.
