Afternoon walk

Walking a puppy, a cat and two children isn't always pretty, and can involve a raised voice more than I would wish to admit.  The cat isn't an intended part of the walk, but invariably follows in the distance, although occasionally gets too close and has to find a tree to race up and get away from the dog. We must look like a right old bunch to anyone watching - puppy who is starting to not listen (teenager...), boys who are also starting not to listen - running off to the park and me trying to train a puppy and keep boys in sight.

Anyway - this was quite amazing (if you ignore the fact the puppy was in a children's play area), but he sat, and waited whilst the boys were on the swing. He did kind of loose it when we met neighbours and their dog, and then what seemed like a parade of everyone walking their dogs - but it's all good training (there has to be a positive somewhere).

Not the greatest school day.  The eldest and I agreed that we would re-do his spelling test over the weekend because no matter how you look at it, whirl doesn't have a 't' in it (fird was almost forgiven). Concentration hasn't been the strong point today.

Today I'm grateful for:
An agency friend who is doing some work for my old place of work calling to give an update on how wrong it has gone (nothing to do with him, super bad management and expectations from the old work place).
The dog perhaps, just perhaps starting to learn things
Member of my old team writing a glowing review about the role I did
