Waiting

There was a queue at the vet's today, and tempers were fraying. I had waited 10 minutes just to get to the front desk and receive a pager (with unhappy cats trying to get out of their carriers in the car), when an expensively dressed woman jumped the queue and went inside just in front of me. The queue booed and "hey"ed at her and I said it was my turn, and would she please wait like everyone else? Then she called me a "blöde Kuh" (stupid cow) and refused to go back until the receptionist told her to.

The vet took Chaiyya's and Rani's stitches out but said they'd better wear their collars for another day. So their freedom is postponed until tomorrow.
