Hazel Catkins

For most of the day I was at my mother’s village. Frau G (one of her carers) had invited to a lovely meal. Later, coffee was served at my mom’s house. The planned walk in between fell victim to stormy weather and rainshowers.

I tried to get a close-up of some catkins on the hazel shrubs, but it was too windy and dark, none of my attempts came out sharp. So this wide shot is the best I can offer you today.

This morning I was really chuffed to see two of my blips featured (as part of a great collection of blipfoto pictures about climate change) on the Guardian website.

Documenting the changes on our planet may only be a side-effect of blipping a photo a day, but I like how so many of our pictures become like jigsaw puzzle pieces of the bigger picture.
