Hurrah!!

............ Boo is eating for himself again ;-)))))

When we first took Boo to the vet we had to see one of the junior vets who had only just qualified because it was an emergency and she was the one on duty. She was very good and seemed to know her stuff ....... we had no complaints with her.
However, we felt that she maybe lacked experience, so booked in with the vet we usually see this morning ........ she could find no obvious signs of illness so wanted to give his nose and throat a thorough check under anaesthetic ........ this afternoon..... she is very experienced so we agreed.
We were on tenterhooks for several hours then she phoned as soon as she had finished the operation ......... we were relieved to hear he was recovering well but totally amazed by what she found ........... a huge furball ( in extras - not for the squeamish ) had been brought up when he was sick and had lodged firmly in his upper nasal cavity ( above his hard palette, for anyone who knows about these things ) ....... apparently it was really hard to find and get to, so I think we did the right thing by changing to our regular vet as the other one was just looking for causes of infection.
Anyway, he came home late this evening and dived straight in the food bowls that he wouldn’t even go near before .......... I am so very pleased to see him looking almost normal ........ I will certainly sleep better tonight, not least because I’m thoroughly exhausted ....... but very happy ;-)))
