Colourful supper

That’s the spinach and mushroom roulade (I made up the recipe) with Delia’s roast peppers with tomatoes, garlic and anchovies plus some roast tatties. It was tasty.

I felt I’d been awake more than asleep last night so was pleased I’d awarded myself a day off from walking. My ankle is sore.

I froze some black currant coulis, roasted bottom-of-fridge veg as the Rayburn was hot, made some mocha squares then used the cream I had left from the Blackcurrant Parfait I made a couple of days ago to make some Lemon Icecream. There’s still some cream left - just enough for a Gorgonzola and walnut sauce to have with the Broccoli pasta tonight.

Then I noticed it had stopped raining and was only a fine mizzle so I decided I would go out and just do the 3 mile round - through the village, round by Whitton and home via Gravelly Bank. So much easier than struggling through the muddy paths.

Now it’s time for Melvyn and his guests telling me about St Cuthbert while I get on with the crochet. The cotton for #2 daughter’s coat is going to be a while coming as they are out of the main colour.
