My car has been in for its service and MOT today - I'm a bit skint now lol.

Had a really nice walk down to the garage though - about 45 minutes through town and out the other side. Last time I did it, I mistakenly thought the garage closed at 5, so I was dashing along, sweaty and not even looking up. Took a more leisurely stroll today, calling into the museum shop where I saw a beautiful little milk jug. It was about 4 inches tall, white glazed with a pencil outline skyline (I assume it was Leeds...). I picked it up, turned it over, saw the price and put it back sharpish!

Anyway, I carried on my way, looking up at some of the beautiful architecture Leeds has to offer (this is the city hall). I'd been into a few buildings, but couldn't for the life of me remember why! PriceWaterhouseCooper? Crowne Plaza?

I also walked past a somewhat anonymous red brick building. I've been inside, and I think it's a government/council building of some kind. I wondered if it was to do with dad's estate - probate maybe? And that got me thinking, what did they see when they looked at me? What does anyone see? To me, I'm not a child but not quite a grown up either. My brother's a grown up. We both have a house, a car, a job, bills and responsibilities...

Perhaps it's the family. It must be. Although I've been married, sometimes it doesn't seem quite real, like a story I've read, or a friend's life.

Can you be a grown up without children? I'm one of only two adults I know without kids - which I find really strange. Out of 24 cousins, I'm the only one with no kids (and no real desire for any)...

Am I odd?
