Surprise!

Walking along the lane this morning I was surprised to see this beautiful deer pop through the hedge in front of me. Fortunately I had my camera in hand as I had been trying (unsuccessfully) to photograph a red kite they was flying about. As I swung the camera up to my face, we had a brief moment of ‘eye contact’ before it leapt off across the lane and into the field on the right . I still had the drive mode on continuous and managed these three shots roughly in focus.

Today I walked 4.5 miles and completed a small tour of Plymouth on my virtual 1000 mile walk... so far I have completed 95.6 miles from Land’s End. Heading off to Paignton next...
