Mossy Roots

Another hard frost overnight - so I wandered through the woods again. Might be the last time for a while as the temperature is forecast to rise this week. There is an awful lot of mud to thaw out!

There was some sunlight getting though and highlighting things. I quite liked these moss covered roots with a frosty topping and the little patch of sunshine. There was also another stump with a collection of moss and ferns which I liked (extra1).

I also photographed the fence at the cattle drink (extra 2). The collection of debris up the post shows how high the water got during the recent heavy rain.

I managed a five mile walk this morning…progress is ahead of schedule on my 1000 mile mission.
