The very first bud

After fertilizing our camellia last year for the very first time in nine years, it nearly doubled in size and made at least 500 buds.
I will have to cut it back a lot after it’s bloom this spring, because it will narrow our entrance path too much. But I will hate to do that. I know a house here in town that has two of the same plants and they have grown into big trees... a lovely sight in spring.

A quiet rather rainy Sunday which invited to a lot of indoor activity....
