Shepherd's Warning
Lockdown 3 - Day 20
I looked out of the curtains this morning in the hope of snow, but we just had a very light frost, however, there was a hint of pink in the sky, so I got dressed and went into the field. As I walked up the hill onto The Tye I was met by this amazing glow! It didn't last for long, and soon turned very dark, closely followed by hail and then rain - fortunately I was back home before the weather changed. Then this afternoon it cleared and was lovely and sunny, very strange weather!
Alan's worked really hard on the new kitchen door - drilling and chiselling for the hinges and door handle, and sanded down and painted the door jamb, so the door is now ready for painting and re-hanging.
While he's been doing that, I've been a kitchen goddess and have made a curried parsnip soup, a butternut squash lasagne and a Sunday roast - the soup is for lunch tomorrow and the lasagne for tomorrow's dinner. Oh, and I had a workout on the cross trainer, had a chat with Charlotte & Tamzin, then a video chat with Ibby whose got Covid :-(
I've just sat down to watch Dancing on Ice, so I'll catch you later!
