2015-11-12 (Day 316) Storm Abigail

Storm Abigail (a big gale) is the first storm to be given a name in the UK. Apparently storms are being given names to "raise awareness of severe weather" - though when the weather is like this I am usually aware of it!

Anyway, this shows the folly of housing estates that have just one way in and out. What happens when that one way is blocked? Luckily for the residents of this estate, there is another way to get there, but it is via a narrow single track road that also has a fair amount of standing water just now.

I have to say, there was a slight smell to the water... I wonder just how clean it was?

Oh well, let's see how the storm develops...
