2015-06-14 (Day 165) The Beginnings Of A Bridge

The railway bridge at Station Road, Polmont, has been removed and the these beams are going to support the new bridge.

Only four beams have arrived and been put in place by yesterday's massive crane; during the course of the day another six (??) were added.

I'm not sure whether the plastic crush barriers would really stop a misdirected train that happened to come along the line, but you never know...
