Bella's Friend Jean

Jean is an elderly lady in the village. Every morning, come rain, sun, snow or ice she walks from her house round the corner, up our road and then to the top of Haw Lane to feed her pet sheep, Shaun, 2 cats and her retired race horse. I think she still has chickens too.
Bella made friends with her as soon as we moved here because Jean always has a pocket full of treats. She is also one of few people who can keep Bella down when she tries to jump up. In fact Bella doesn't even do that with her anymore.
Frank helped Jean wheel her laden 'pram' (extra) round to Shaun's shelter and the stable this morning. Bella is looking in the shed for the cat. Jean is an amazing woman and also an excellent artist.
We had snow this morning but it won't last.

I forgot to say - I won a raffle! A girl in the village rescues hedgehogs and wants to buy Hedgehog road signs to ask people to slow down. I bought 5 tickets just to help her raise the money, never thinking I would win as I don't usually. My prize is a lovely hedgehog print by Hannah Dale.

I am feeling more awake and motivated today.
Do you know, one of the main things that makes me happy in these strange times is Blipfoto. This wonderful community is so friendly and supportive. I love seeing everyone else's Blips which gives me an insight to other folk's lives all over the world. I love 'chatting' about the photos and what we are all doing with our days. I love seeing your pets and your children/grandchildren and where you live. I love the humour that comes about and the kind words that help us all through sad times.
