Another Wet Day
...even worse than yesterday.
Jorgie and I got soaked as we walked down to the mill and the entrance to the woods.
The route through the woods is called Muddy Bottom and boy, was it living up to it's name today, so we turned tail and marched very soggily home.
The normally little Colleybrook was a raging torrent as we stood briefly watching for any signs of birdlife. Dippers can regularly be seen here but not today.
On the way home I heard and then saw a Mistle Thrush.
I've just googled it (so it must be true!) The male Mistle Thrush will call even in heavy rain and the loud melodious song can be heard up to 2kms away
Tomorrow I'll walk down the same route with my long lens and hope to get an image.
If not I'll just enjoy his song again
