Life's Rich Tapestry ....
I was trying to think of a word to describe today, and the one that came first to mind was 'mish-mash'. But I think the title I've chosen sounds more interesting, though not as accurate.
We had the by now customary early morning visit from Cyril. The cats have become very aware of his antics just outside the window, and TM, in a fit of mischievousness decided to see what would happen if he opened it. Cyril had just succeeded in knocking the top off the seed feeder when Douggie and Percy launched and instantly crashed into each other. Cyril flew to the safety of the roof and they hadn't a clue where to start looking. They really aren't the brightest cats we've had.
I spent a happy few hours on the Family History project. I've at last managed to find out a bit about TM's Irish side - and a previously unsuspected English great-great grandmother.
In the afternoon we went to Kelso for our Click and Collect, and had a short walk by the river. It was very, very wet. It took a shot of the stone trail, and one of the riverbank, then scuttled back to the car.
Now dried out and on the sofa with my knitting, Celtic Connections and a nice cup of spicy chai, waiting for the last episode of Traces. I've kind of lost interest in it, but might as well see how it ends.
