New bike day!

Here's my new ride - a Dawes Galaxy that's been up in our cupboard for the last few months. It's a super cool ride and a lot more suited to the kind of rides I want to be doing - long and slow rather than short sprints. I had a short test-ride today which was great and without any problems. The nicest part of it is how relaxed it is: instead of being bent over and tucked in on my Raleigh, the Dawes is more upright which makes is far easier to ride on. I'll ride it in to work tomorrow - hopefully it makes my morning commute a bit easier!

Speaking of work, I've just a note from my manager to say that someone will be shadowing with me tomorrow! I'm a bit nervous as I feel quite inexperienced compared to my other colleagues, but it's just a 5 hour shift to get this new guy familiar with morning routines. Fingers crossed all goes well - it's quite weird as my work is now something I do quite naturally, but now that I have to show someone the ropes I'm worried about explaining something badly other missing something out. Will update on how it went in tomorrow's blip!
