Past Its Best
The hyacinths on the kitchen table are starting to give off that horrible, really sweet scent, a sign that they’re past their best and have to go. They won’t get dumped though, instead they’ll be added to the clumps already replanted on the edge of the allotment where they can bloom away to their hearts’ content. Recycling.
We’ve had a day off from our Booster programme today so it’s been a carbs overload, rounded off with a cracking pasta bake tonight - tuna and chorizo casserole. Couldn’t keep any leftovers so it’s fair to say that I’m stuffed. Even better, I could have a few beers. There are a few beer leftovers though, they’ll keep.
