Sunny Saturday

On the beach before breakfast there were a number of swimmers meeting to dip together in apparent ignorance of the latest tightening of the lockdown here in Scotland. Perhaps they feel the health benefits of sea swimming not only boosts their immune systems but also gives them immunity from following the rules!

Later, on a walk to buy provisions we noted that the green coffee van had decided to stay away to keep everyone safe. The cafes at the foot of Bath Street were, however, not only doing a roaring trade but causing a human bottleneck that must surely increase the chances of the virus transition? Once again car parks and street parking were overflowing suggesting that many had sought refuge from their locked down boredom on the sunny beach. Fortunately the low tide today gave everyone much needed space once they had fuelled themselves with coffee or hot chocolate!
