Coffee
Yes I have a coffee addiction. This is a company called Brew Bike, they specialize in iced coffee. Tonight we are putting it in the fridge and tomorrow there should be goodness. I've made iced coffee before, heck there's another batch in the fridge now since you never know when you might want a cup. The difference here is fun tea bag sort of set up so no loose grounds to be rid of. That's my number one problem with iced coffee and french press, such a mess to clean.
My dad use to tell me his grandma liked iced coffee but I'm not sure I would have approved. Apparently she use to take what had been left in the percolator all day, put it in a Mason jar with ice and call it good. She would then wrap it in tin foil for insulation and take it out on her mare while checking the cattle in the pasture. Apparently it was a great honor to go ride with grandma and one of my dads favorite memories was the first time he took a swig of that coffee. He had no idea that the ice he could hear rattling on that hot Oklahoma day was keeping cool coffee as black as pitch and not sweet tea. Dad was also about 8 years old when this happened, I'm sure grandma about laughed herself sick when he took that drink only to realize it wasn't tea he was expecting. Since it percolated all day I wonder if it didn't taste burnt. Dad often said that his grandma and I would have really got on well with our coffee consumption. I'll let you all know how it is tomorrow, it probably won't be my go to as it doesn't have enough caffiene but a nice change of pace on occasion.
