Purple Ranunculus
I chose the purple one because it is so easy on the eyes. If you want to see the red ones, so color saturated (with little processing) that it almost blinds you, you may visit my Flickr page to see a few more spring flowers taken with the nifty fifty. I love how it can start to look like a watercolor painting when you use this lens.
Had to do a few errands so took the camera to my grocery store and visited their garden center. Some new things were there, like these Ranunculus, and isn't that a strange name for a flower? Hard for me to say. My tongue gets sort of twisted round those n's and u's.
I really enjoyed the music in last night's Academy Award show. Terrific songs and performances, from Shirley Bassey with that marvelous big voice to a surprise song by Barbra Streisand. And the show tunes from the movies! I nearly swoon dead away when the music of Le Miserables ramps up. I never have been able to figure out the words they are singing, but who cares? It's glorious. And in my next life I wanna be Catherine Zeta-Jones. Or maybe Charlize Theron.... They clean up good, that's all I'm going to say about that.
Birthday idea to go to the beach is postponed. The promised weather isn't going to pan out. We can wait until we go on Daylight Savings Time and that will be better. It's okay. The beach isn't going anywhere anytime soon. We will catch it later, as I will you all.
Take care and have a good week. And did you guys see the image
Yuba did? I about swooned dead away on that one, also.
