Drenched

Mid-January and it’s raining! Last year long range forecasters predicted a La Niña winter, and so far they’ve been right on. Next week’s temperatures, however, will return us to our cold reality. Not looking forward to it but it’s better for the planet • Goldfinches, chickadees and titmice are the only birds I’ve seen at the feeders today, the bravest of the brave. Getting a blip was a struggle with the low light and pouring rain. This is the best of the lot. Please don’t wince too much ;) • Our virtual Happy Hour with friends is scheduled for later this afternoon. No doubt the Capitol Siege, the Investigation, and the Inauguration will dominate our chat • Stay cozy and warm wherever you are this Saturday afternoon/evening.
