Here we go again – Day 12
Haven't been on a mega long walk since Monday, (Ann describes a mega long walk as anything over 5 miles) so this morning we walked to 'Arthur's Seat' because we knew that the road around Arthur's Seat is closed to traffic. Not really sure why it's closed to traffic. Maybe it's got something to do with Covid and stopping people driving to places to exercise. Who knows?
For anyone who doesn't know Edinburgh; Arthur's Seat is a big hill in the centre of the city. Anyway the road around Arthur's Seat is about 3 miles long and I walked there via the Meadows which is a big grassy area in the centre of the city so that meant I had lots of off lead run about time. I was zooming about all over the place.
It was very busy with lots of walkers, cyclists and joggers but there was more than enough room for everyone so we had a lovely walk. We were out for about two and a half hours and walked 7.32 miles.
However there are still a lot of people not following the rules....................... there appeared to be quite a lot of students out for a stroll in groups of 4-5 even though the students have been told not to return to uni and not a policeman in sight. During proper lock down there were police at all the popular walking places, moving on 'single old people' if they dared to sit down for a rest?!!
Oh well, ho hum, Ann's said it before and she'll say it again.......................... she doesn't know what she would have done in lock down without me.
We've had a lovely day today.
