For the first time since the 13th December I eschewed the bike today. It meant that getting to work wasn't the usual rush for once and then I spent a good hour over lunchtime on a steep and muddy hill with someone - would have been easier going if I hadn't had a bag of bacon and eggs with me but that's another story...
