Increased Exposure

Thank you for your positive comments on my Pileated Woodpecker blip, a surprise treat spotted at this same location a couple of days ago.  Today I heard a pileated in the distance, but our path's didn't cross.  I did see a couple of Red-tailed Hawks.  Over the years (I don't know why it took me so long) I've learned that I need to increase the exposure, if I want to capture any detail in an object set against a white sky.  I have lots of old photos of silhouettes.
