Belated Christmas card

has arrived at last. 
Everything comes to those who wait !! or so they say !
I heard the term Hard yakka mentioned when I was in Australia.

As a girl I remember in our area Pitmen were referred to as Pit yakkers.
My Mam's family were mostly pitmen and if a Wedding was coming off my Dad being a baker would make their cakes.
Payment was a sack of coal.
They would put it over the crossbar of their bike and cycle from the village of Seghill a few miles away.
