Ghost Town

I walked down into town to pick up a book from the Grove (only open at the door for collections) and can't ever remember the street being this empty, even during the first lockdown. I popped into Tesco to pick up a few emergency supplies and had never seen the supermarket so empty either. It was lunchtime and just two checkouts were open, neither with a queue. I'd also say that the majority of people to be seen outside on the street were wearing masks. Here, at least, people are being sensible and staying as safe as they can. I found that reassuring.
