In the pink.

A lovely pink dawn so yet again hanging out the bedroom window taking photographs.  Once the day got started I found the Met Office were issuing first a yellow warning and then an amber one.  There was going to be heavy snow from 5.00pm  with threats of power cuts, stranded drivers and villages perhaps being cut off.  They issue so many warnings now I feel they are in danger of crying "Wolf."
At lunch time a power cut arrived but no snow so I went for a walk from the house.  Managed to keep socially distanced by going into a stubble field and walking round that. Not very exciting but when I came back electricity had been restored  although some people are still cut off.
Later as I cleaned and disinfected for my shopping the sky looked forbidding and I wondered if my order would come but it did, arriving with the snow. Thankfully for the drivers sake it was only a light powdering so I hope it keeps off until his shift is over.  Everything was put away and I can look forward to a suitably warming casserole tomorrow.
