Now, where did I leave those glasses....?

Today's image was taken on a walk inspired by Winter Walks - a series of programmes on BBC4. I have only watched two so far - Selina Scott walking in the Yorkshire Dales and Lemn Sissay in Cumbria. These are calming almost meditative journeys where the presenters are only accompanied by a hand held camera and drone footage from above. There is information shown on the screen including the length of the walk, the names of villages they pass through and even the height of the peaks they traverse. What I love about these programmes is that not only do you see the sights but you also hear the sounds - whether it be birdsong, the wind or running water. Marvellous. I thoroughly recommend you watch them - I am certainly looking to forward to the other episodes now.
The walk I took with my brother was not quite as picturesque - it involved crossing a main road, through several housing estates (some still under construction - so the sound was not quite birdsong!), alongside a railway line and through an open field to an industrial estate but I still thoroughly enjoyed it and managed to obtain that sense of calm.
This image was taken just before we entered the industrial estate - with someone's lost glasses hanging in the branches of a tree. Hopefully whoever has lost them will be able to retrace their steps and restore their vision - although this could preclude them from finding them in the first place!
