Compton Verney

Being members we try to visit Compton Verney as often as possible although of course there are no art exhibitions for us to view at present. However, walking the grounds once or twice a week is very therapeutic in these strange times in which we find ourselves.
Surprised to see that large areas of the lakes are still frozen but there is still enough open water for the birds to dive into and hopefully feed. No swans or Canada geese at the moment but lots of mallards, coots, and seagulls. We noticed that the mallards seem to be pairing off so the cycle of life looks like it is going to be starting again before we know it.
Some herons here too and a darting kingfisher as well, plus a few buzzards wheeling overhead frightening the wood pigeons.
As we walked back towards the main park and house the view was worth taking a few photos so I had to do it lol! So lovely to be able to do this and J is booking again towards the end of the week. However, I think that she prefers Charlecote Park. We regard them both as being local and hope that police guidelines will agree too.
