Just Reward

Today was a longer and harder day than I thought it would be.
Up early to start staining the fence. Started with the easy bit, but then staining behind all the plants became very time consuming - trying not to make everything black.
Was given a lifeline and we all went to Big Beats for brunch ahead of Alastair flying to Dunedin. (Ju, Al, Em and Stasia). I had the usual mushroom dish, but this time it was a bit light on mushroom and chorizo was more like a German sausage. All up not the best brunch I have had there, but the company was good.
I then took Al for his flight to Dunedin, his bag just under the 30kg limit.
Returned to complete the fence, although that proved too much... by 6:30 only about 80% complete with 1st coat, but I had enough by that point!! Should have got some bloke to do it.
Anyway, a well-deserved reward of a cold glass of chardonnay in order.
Just heard from Al that due to some technical difficulty, the flight landed at ChCh and he now needs to bus the rest of the way to Dunners. Not expected to get there until after midnight. Just one of those things, but at least he will get there safely.
Emma planning a party for next Friday at ours. Trying to test the boundaries and see how much she can get away with. Stasia staying another night.
