Frozen

We were up bright and early this morning to take delivery of our new freezer.

Our old upright decided it had had enough, just before Christmas (why does that always happen with appliances??); luckily we also have a small chest freezer so we were able to rescue some bits.

The old freezer was given to me by my Dad when I moved here 13 years ago, but when we worked it out, it was around 20 years old, so it had a good innings!

We’ve not been in a great rush, which gave us time to shop around and John Lewis offered the same product as the usual stores (Curry’s, AO) at the same price, but with a longer guarantee.
We decided to go big, then we can also get rid of the chest freezer (which is also getting on a bit) to save space (& energy).

The delivery guys were great but said we almost didn’t get it, as the road coming up to our house was like glass! :-0
